ShowNotes
Free trial
ShowNotes includes a 14-day free trial with full functionality. The trial starts when you first launch the app. No email, no credit card, no account required. You can see remaining trial days in the card chrome and in Settings → About.
What happens when the trial ends
ShowNotes switches to read-only mode. You can still view and navigate your cards, but you can't create, edit, or delete them. Your data is never deleted. Purchase a license to restore full access.
Purchasing
Click "Buy — $19" in the app (or visit shownotes.app/buy). Checkout is handled by Paddle. You'll receive a transaction ID starting with txn_ in your confirmation email.
Activating your license
After purchase:
- Go to ShowNotes → Enter License Key in the menu bar.
- Paste your transaction ID (the
txn_...string from your email). - ShowNotes verifies with Paddle and activates immediately. Once activated, no network connection is required — your license is verified locally.
License states
Three states are shown in the app:
- Trial — N days left (green/amber) — full access.
- Licensed (green) — full access, permanent.
- Trial expired (red) — read-only until licensed.
